Kate's Sugery
On November 1, 2007, Kate Suzanne had open heart surgery to fix a hole in her heart (VSD). She was in surgery for about 2 hours and made it through with flying colors. To quote our cardiologist, "It could not have gone any better." After the procedure Kate spent 2 days in ICU. On Saturday afternoon we/she got moved to the 'Step Down Unit.' We spent about 2 days there, and then were able to go home on Monday morning (11/5/07). 8 pictures from that time can be seen below.
